"Gino Cavicchioli is a Renaissance Man. His works are in the collections of some of the most powerful figures of his generation such as former president of the United States George Bush. Margaret Thatcher and Mikhail Gorbachev. His timeless dedication to craftsmanship and innate soul of a master truly make him one of the world's top artists."
- Brian Williams, TSN interview 2008
Gino was born in Australia, but spent his formative years in Rome.
As a child he was fascinated by the architecture, sculptures, fountains and the works of the masters that surrounded him. The craftsmanship and attention to detail was indelibly etched into his own creative expression and his drive to achieve the same level of perfection in his work.
His acute observation of detail, timeless dedication to craftsmanship and the innate soul of a master allows Gino to breath life into any work of art from delicate pencil drawings to monumental sculptures.
Due to his almost fanatic desire for perfection, he limits his output to eight or ten major pieces per year which are quickly acquired by collectors. Gino's commission work is selective and is accepted with sincerity.
His work is sold world-wide. |
